The Impact of Snoring

In our  YouGov survey, 65% of UK people admitted that they snore at some point.  Snoring is often laughed off as a bit of a joke; but 68% of people with snoring partners admitted that the problem has some sort of effect on their life or relationship.

The survey showed that disturbed sleep (such as that caused by snoring!) can have a negative impact on people’s lives:

  • 54% of people said that they feel irritable after a disturbed night’s sleep
  • 38% say that they struggle to get out of bed the next day if their sleep has been disturbed
  • More than a quarter (27%) admitted they are more likely to crave unhealthy food after a disturbed sleep

With 1 in 5 (20%) saying they feel resentful towards the person that has disturbed their sleep, it is no wonder that snoring can cause so many relationship issues.

Despite this, only a shameful 7% of snorers in relationships said they or their partner had ever purchased a snoring relief product.  This means that there are a lot of partners across the UK being disturbed, and a lot of relationships left to suffer.

Here at PFL Healthcare, we are working to change this with our Snoreeze brand. Snoreeze is the only brand on the market providing customers with a range of snoring relief products for every type of snorer. The range consists of two types of product: those that treat snoring caused by airway collapse (the main cause), and those that treat snoring caused by nasal congestion. Snoreeze remains the only brand on the market that is clinically proven to provide up to 8 hours of effective relief from snoring.

All figures, unless otherwise stated, are from YouGov Plc. Total sample size was 2,058 adults. Fieldwork was undertaken between 15th – 16th October 2014. The survey was carried out online. The figures have been weighted and are representative of all UK adults (aged 18+).
