Age and Snoring

Our YouGov survey found that only 15% of 18-24 year olds in the UK have a partner that regularly snores.  However, the figure skyrockets to over a third (38%) for 45-54 year olds!  This suggests that snoring is a problem that becomes much more common as we get older.

Although 71% of loved-up 45-54 year olds surveyed said their partner snored occasionally or regularly, only a shameful 13% had ever purchased a snoring relief product – meaning that there are a lot of partners across the UK left to suffer.

72% of people aged 45-54 that are in a relationship with a snorer said that their partner’s snoring has had an impact on their lives somehow.  15% admitted they go to bed first to fall asleep before the snoring starts, and 22% confessed that they had slept in a separate room to escape the snoring altogether.

In addition:

  • 7% of 45-54 year olds with a snoring partner say that their partner’s snoring has had a negative effect on their relationship
  • 62% say that they have shaken, nudged, or kicked their partner in order to stop their snoring – 5% above the national average
  • 8% even admit that they have considered putting a pillow over the snorer’s face while they sleep

Every relationship has its problems, but snoring doesn’t need to be one of them.  Our range of Snoreeze products are clinically proven to provide up to 8 hours of effective relief from snoring, helping to make sure that both snorers and their partners get the rest they need.
